The President of the Constitutional Court, Judge Hisham Al-Tal, met with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Bernhard Kampmann, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Court, Abdul Latif Najdawi, and the Director of Projects at the Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law, Siraj Khan.
During the meeting which took place on 24/11/2021, Al- Tal reviewed the development of constitutional life in the Kingdom, appreciating the German side's interest in raising the level of joint cooperation with the Court.
Kampmann stressed his country's keenness to exchange experiences and hold conferences and seminars on the constitutional judiciary through all institutions of the German Republic. This meeting came on the sidelines of a joint seminar between the Court and the Max Planck Foundation. This seminar is entitled: "The Role of the Constitutional Court in the Constitutional and Legal System". It shed a light on several issues. The most important of which was the presentation of the Constitutional Court entitled Ways to enhance access to justice and confidence in constitutional justice, in addition to other axes, including the relationship between the Constitutional Court and the judicial system and the impact of mandatory decisions of constitutional courts.
